Material Descriptions:
DBP- Double Brushed Polyester
A soft polyester and spandex blend jersey knit fabric with both a a brushed topside and bottom side with ultimat softness. Used for athletic wear, leggings, skirts, dresses, tops, tanks, yoga pants, and more.
Ribbed Knit
This poly rib knit is incredibly soft with a beautiful drape. It has a rib construction which allows for the fabric to have great stretch horizontally from selvedge to selvedge. This fabric would be ideal for tops, dresses, cardigans, loungewear, and more!
Sweater Rib Knit
A thicker ribbed knit, sometimes sweater knit fabrics take large yarns and crochet or knit the yards ino the base textile. These versatile fabrics can be used as tops, sweaters, cardigans, and more.
Stretch Lace
This type of lace is a 2 way stretch, that has a slight stretch. Can be used for skirts, sleeves, flutter sleeves.
Non Stretch Lace
This type of lace, has no stretch at all. Can be used for skirts, sleeves, flutter sleeves.
Stretch Velvet
Type of crushed velvet where the pile has been flattened in the same direction all over. In the large majority of cases these velvets are stretchy, either because they contain elastane, or because their base is knitted and not woven. They are generally made out of polyester.
Cotton Woven
No stretch to this fabric. While a knit is made up of a single yarn, which is looped continuosuly, a woven fabric is made of multiple threads that are interlaced at right angles in a crisscross pattern. The result is that knits will stretch very little in length and width. Woven fabric have very little stretch and will only stretch on the diagonal.
Swim
Made of polyester knits. Provides a soft and comfortable stretch. Elastane is the generic name for Lycra or Spandex. Lycra, Spandex, and elastane are all basically the same thing, so do not get hung up on the branding.
Bamboo
All of my bamboo I offer currently on the wesbite is from other companies like Little Sleepies, Bums and Roses. I use their blankets to create outfits. The fabric is super soft, breathable, and stretchy.
